South Luangwa Conservation Society was set up in 2003 by local stake holders,it is a non-profit community based organisation committed to the conservation and preservation of the local wildlife and natural resources in Luangwa and at the same time ensuring and encouraging community development amongst local populations.
SLCS now plays an important role in conservation within the Luangwa valley and relies entirely on donations from members and grant applications and ensures 100% of donations goes directly towards conservation activities.
